1. General Provisions

1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by RunMuts (“the Company”) to the pet owner (“the Client”).
1.2 By booking a session, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.
1.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse service to any dog deemed unfit, unwell, or showing signs of extreme aggression.

2. Health and Veterinary Fitness

2.1 The Client warrants that their dog is in good physical health and has no underlying conditions that would make high-intensity exercise dangerous.
2.2 The 2-Hour Rule: The Client strictly agrees to withhold all food from the dog for a minimum of two (2) hours prior to the scheduled run to prevent Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (Bloat).
2.3 The Company reserves the right to cancel a session without refund if the Client discloses the dog has eaten within this two-hour window.
2.4 The Client must disclose all medical history, including heart murmurs, joint issues, or recent surgeries, during the initial consultation.

3. Safety and Exercise Protocol

3.1 Cool-Down: A mandatory 10-minute cool-off period will be observed after every run before the dog is returned to the Client’s home or crate.
3.2 Water: Fresh water will be provided as needed within a place of safety or the home environment.
3.3 Equipment: All exercise is conducted on professional-grade non motorised slatmills/treadmills. The Company will monitor the dog’s gait (where applicable) throughout the session to the best of there ability.

4. Emergency Resuscitation (DNR)

4.1 In the event of a cardiac or respiratory arrest (“Extreme Event”), the Company staff, who are trained in Animal First Aid, will act according to the Client’s pre-selected preference as stated on the enrolment form:

  • Attempt Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Do Not Resuscitate (DNR)
4.2 The Client acknowledges that canine CPR has a low success rate and may cause secondary physical injuries (e.g., rib fractures).
4.3 Liability Waiver: The Company and its staff accept no liability for the outcome of any resuscitation efforts or the decision to withhold them based on the Client’s instructions.

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1 The Company maintains valid Public Liability Insurance.
5.2 The Client acknowledges that exercise involves inherent risks. The Company is not liable for injuries occurring during or after a session unless caused by proven gross negligence.
5.3 The Client is responsible for any damage caused by their dog to the Company’s mobile unit or equipment beyond reasonable wear and tear.

6. Cancellations and Payments

6.1 Payments must be made [in advance / at the time of service].
6.2 Cancellations made with less than [24] hours' notice will be charged at [100%] of the session price.
6.3 Weather Policy: For the safety of the dog, the Company reserves the right to reschedule sessions in cases of extreme winter weather or other unforeseen events.

7. Data Protection (GDPR)

7.1 The Company will store Client and pet data securely and only use it for the purposes of providing the service. No data will be shared with third parties without consent, except in a medical emergency involving a veterinarian.

Customer Acknowledgement I, the undersigned, have had the opportunity to read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions above.

Veterinary Assessment: I acknowledge that I have been advised by the Company to seek a pre-run health assessment from a qualified veterinarian before my dog engages in the services provided by RunMuts.
